Leafy Greens

Adding greens like spinach or kale to your smoothie is a great way to boost your nutrient intake without adding significant calories.

These greens are rich in vitamins and minerals and can help to support your weight loss goals by keeping you satiated and energized. Plus, they’re a great way to sneak in extra veggies for the day.

Berries

Berries are low in calories and high in fiber and antioxidants, making them a perfect ingredient for weight loss smoothies.

Blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries are all great options that add natural sweetness without contributing to sugar cravings. You can also experiment with more unique berries like goji or acai.

Protein Powder

One of the keys to a successful weight loss plan is ensuring you’re getting enough protein.

Adding a scoop of protein powder to your smoothie can help keep you full and satiated for longer periods of time. Look for a high-quality,  protein powder without any added sugars or artificial ingredients. You can learn more about protein here .

Healthy Fats

Contrary to popular belief, adding healthy fats to your diet can actually support weight loss.

Adding ingredients like nut butter, avocado, or coconut oil to your smoothie can help keep you full and provide sustainable energy. Just stick to a small amount (1-2 tablespoons) to avoid going overboard on calories.

Fiber

Fiber is essential for digestive health and can also help to keep you feeling full.

Adding ingredients like chia seeds, flaxseed, or psyllium husk to your smoothie can provide a boost of fiber without adding significant calories. Plus, these ingredients can also add thickness and texture to your smoothie.
